As part of the events around Ozone day celebrations, the Science department of RJIT had, like every year, organized a Science Quiz. It was only our second month in the college after the admissions, so we were pretty much novices, just coming out of school. But there was this innate drive in us, which made us fear none and we decided to take part in the Quiz.

Initially, it was only me (Rahul) and Vinod, who were keen to take part. But, the precondition of registration was that the team size has to be 'four'. As I said that everything was new to us and so was the case with friends and acquaintances. Vinod had a better acquaintance with Suraj than me, and I was somehow able to convince Abhishek to join us. So, there it was, a team assembled, ready to fight.

The day of the competition arrived. It was a 2 Phase Quiz, in which there was a 'Written Elimination Round' first, and the top 4 scoring teams in that would proceed to the 'Audio-Visual Round'. So, all of us did some late-night brush up of information and concepts pertaining to the theme of the Quiz and were ready to write the first round. When the results arrived, we found out that we were the fourth team in the Top 4. We were quite thrilled to see that, but at the same time, were eyeing the trophy!

Out of the other three teams, two were from the Final and Pre-final year and the third team was from the Electronics Engineering department of our batch. In the Audio-Visual round, we, right from the start, took a respectable lead and by the end, the difference in points between the 1st and 2nd teams stood at 140 points. We were the 'Winners'.

I see this as a very crucial moment of our lives, as it transformed us in more than one way. Our confidence reached sky high, we became inseparable friends, it made us trust each other, and opened ways for more opportunities for accomplishment and improvement. This is the day, where it all started; and after this win, we named our team - The Ignited Mindzz.
